Deck-Level Construction

Deck-Level Construction

Deck-level (top-down) construction builds bridges from above, minimizing ground disturbance. Once foundations are set, each completed span becomes the platform for the next—allowing the bridge to advance with a light footprint and little impact below.

Why It Matters

• Protects wetlands, habitats, and vegetation
• Reduces soil disruption
• Enables efficient, span-by-span construction
• Works in marshes, ravines, and soft or uneven terrain
• Improves safety in limited-access conditions

This method protects the land while delivering the durability and craftsmanship expected of every MBC bridge.
