— Our History

History of Montana Bridge Company

In 1985, James York changed the landscape of American bridge building — literally. As the founder of the nation's largest timber bridge company, he pioneered the industry in the U.S. and beyond, innovating, designing, and forging over 8,000 structures across four continents. After 38 years of leading the field, he stepped away.

Our Process

A Journey From Vision to Structure

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

Step 1.

Understanding Your Vision

We begin by listening. Whether you need a ranch crossing, a municipal trail bridge, or a resort centerpiece, we learn your goals, site challenges, and aesthetic preferences to ensure the final structure exceeds expectations.

Step 2.

Site Assessment

Our team conducts a thorough onsite evaluation, using advanced 3D terrain modeling to analyze soil, hydrology, and access. This allows us to plan a bridge that fits the landscape perfectly, protecting sensitive habitats and waterways.

Step 3.

Design

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

Step 4.

Build & Maintain

We construct your bridge onsite using top-down methods that avoid heavy equipment on fragile ground. Every piece is assembled by skilled craftsmen. After completion, our same team offers scheduled inspections, treatments, and repairs to keep your bridge safe and strong for decades.
